Miss Cara, the director or Cara*lot, has been working professionally with children for over 25 years.  She has a degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State University,15 hours towards her Masters from National Louis Universality, and continues taking courses and attending conferences in early childhood education.  She worked her way up from Camp Counselor to the Director of Camp Directors at the Glenview Park District, taught for 6 years in Wilmette, and then opened her Home Child Care in 1995.   She also has a strong background in theatre arts, dance and music, which she incorporates into her childcare.  Cara is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and an active member of the North Suburban Daycare Association.  She has received a number of prestigious awards through her work with the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts. Cara*lot has also been chosen to receive many "Quality Counts" grants and special awards, and was chosen to participate in a Kohl's Children Museum's educational program. Above all else, Cara loves children and has dedicated her life to providing families with the best quality of care.
Miss Audry is a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University.  She worked at St. Francis Hospital until she took time off to raise her 5 children!  After working with Cara as a leader in both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts for over 8 years, she became her assistant in 2007.

Miss Carrie has a degree in Child Development and Family Life from University of Wisconsin.  She began her career working at Lutheran General Hospital's Child Care Center in Wilmette before having her own 3 children.  Carrie also met Cara as a scout leader,  joined the Cara*lot staff the summer of 2010 and is loving working with children again.

Miss Alice started as a sub, but we were thrilled when she agreed to become a regular part of our staff. She also worked with Cara, Audrey, and Carrie as a scout leader and has spent the past 19 years raising her own 3 wonderful children. Her energy and enthusiasm is contagious and she much prefers playing with children to the work she did at Ala Carte for the 12 years prior to raising her family.

Miss Tammy is the newest addition to our staff. She began the summer of 2012 and fit in perfectly from the start. Originally from Italy, Tammy brings a unique perspective to Cara*lot. The children love learning words in Italian. Tammy left the buisness world to raise 2 children and realized that, like the rest of us, she enjoys spending her time nurturing children instead of being in an office.
